I hope that you will enjoy seeing images of my ceramic work by looking in the Gallery and following the link to my Flickr site.
My pots are mainly constructed from wheel thrown stoneware clay. The surface colours and textures reflect a personal involvement with the materials, the processes and a love of things natural.
An important and fascinating part of my practice is making glazes. These evolve through research and experimentation. I use materials which are found in the earth's crust, and wood ash from kiln firing or local apple trees.
Pictured below is me sieving clay dug from my garden. After preparation, this is used on my biscuit fired pots before I glaze them.
